Smartphones, with an expected installed base of 4.5 billion in 2022, pose a substantial environmental threat, projecting to generate 146 million tonnes of CO2 or equivalent emissions in 2022. While this accounts for a small percentage of global emissions, it remains a pressing concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/greenco-project.eu\/\">GreenCo Project<\/a>, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, has created an insightful&nbsp;<strong>eBook to guide you towards sustainable digital practices<\/strong>. The GreenCo eBook is centered around four key pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Energy consumption<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>E-waste recycling<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Initiatives<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Legislation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The eBook provides you with the tools you need to make better-informed decisions, improve the sustainability of your habits, and become more familiar with the European context and initiatives in support of ecological mindfulness and well-being. One of the chapters will provide an overview of the various&nbsp;<strong>categories of electronic waste, why recycling e-waste is essential, and how it can be done individually<\/strong>.
